Оn the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna

On 24 August 2012 on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna together with the Ukrainian Embassy in Austria hosted a reception attended by heads of permanent mission to the international organizations in Vienna, representatives of international organizations as well as representatives of Ukrainian community in Vienna.

In his welcoming remarks the Permanent Representative of Ukraine Ihor Prokopchuk outlined the foreign policy priorities of Ukraine, as non-block state. He highlighted European integration with the ultimate goal of EU membership, enhancement of strategic partnership relations with the Russian Federation and the United States, development of mutually beneficial cooperation with all interested countries and effective cooperation with the international organizations, in particular those based in Vienna. The Permanent Representative emphasized the historic mission of the OSCE and informed about Ukraine’s readiness to Chair the OSCE in 2013.
