The Ukrainian Week at the United Nations in Vienna jointly organized by the Ukrainian Club and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine concluded with an extraordinary event – Ukrainian Fashion Evening
The Ukrainian fashion industry in the United Nations Office in Vienna was represented by talented designers Roksolana Bogutska, Lyuba Chernikova and Olena Dats. They presented unique collections of modern clothes, which successfully combine national ethno motifs, classic images as well as modern style and have already become internationally recognized as Ukrainian brands.
The event met keen interest of the international community and attracted more than 300 guests including diplomatic representatives and staff of the Vienna International Centre.
Ukrainian Fashion Evening provided a good opportunity to showcase Ukraine’s leading fashion brands to a multicultural audience of the United Nations Office in Vienna.
“Our track record in fashion highlights the innovative and unique nature of Ukraine’s creative industries. I believe that this event will convey an important message about the diversity of Ukrainian fashion in a very engaging way”, - said Ambassador Ihor Prokopchuk, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna in his opening remarks at the Ukrainian Fashion Evening.
The overall purpose of the Ukrainian Week was to introduce and widely popularize Ukrainian culture, science and modern artists within the UN community through the prism of promoting women´s empowerment and leadership.
