On 12 June, a special cultural event jointly organized by the Ukrainian Club of the Vienna International Centre (VIC) and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine was held in the UN Office in Vienna
One-hour concert programme included traditional Ukrainian dances performed by the youth folk dance group “Rosy Svitanku” from the city of Lviv and classical songs performed by a prominent Ukrainian opera singer Natalya Stepanyak accompanied by the professional piano player Feliks Matskulyak.
Such event was highly appreciated by the staff and guests of the UN Office in Vienna and clearly showed to the international community that in current circumstances of ongoing external aggression against Ukraine, national traditions and culture remain the key unifying basis for the Ukrainian society.
The Ukrainian VIC Club (http://vicukrclub.org) was established in 2017 as a unique platform, which unites Ukrainians working at the Vienna International Centre (VIC). The Club’s main objective is to widely promote and raise awareness of the international community about Ukraine, its culture, science, art, music, literature, and sports at the United Nations Office in Vienna
