On June, 24, in Vienna Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier.
They discussed pressing issues of Ukraine-OSCE cooperation. Mr.Klimkin briefed Mr.Zannier on the Peace plan set out by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to end violence in the east of the country. The Minister underlined the importance of the deepest engagement of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk regions for monitoring and verification of cessation of use of force.
They particularly focused on further common efforts aimed at releasing 8 OSCE monitors, held hostage by separatist groups for almost a month.
There was also exchange of views on practical aspects of the activities of the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine
